Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus!
I was browsing through the internet and I came across your web page. I am in search of
learning more about how I can start my own Christian radio station. I am very familiar with
the radio stations that have you have listed for Illinois and I do enjoy these stations, but
my music taste is very diverse and I would like to hear other styles of Christian music
besides that of the mentioned stations. (Don't get me wrong, these stations have blessed me
tremendously). My question to you is, do you have any starting points or tips that could
help me out? I asked God for a new radio station one morning while on my way to work, and He
told me to fulfill this mandate myself. He knows I have no knowledge about starting in
radio. (That's the awesome thing about Him, He can take someone without any knowledge and
who is completely oblivious about a thing and entrust them to do the thing.)

I am writing this email in hopes that you would share with your listeners the
importance of praying for unsaved family members.
August 5, 2004
Three months ago my brother, Christopher, came to live with our family. His
life was so upside down. He was drinking heavily, doing cocaine, financial
trouble, and had lost his job from speeding tickets.
The day he accepted Christ into his heart was a miracle. The Holy
Spirit came upon me to speak to him and share the “Good News”. As I shared the
news with him and how much Jesus loves him,
he asked me to go for a drive. We drove to a cliff at the quarry and parked
only feet away from the edge. He shared with
me that each day he drove to this spot and inches himself closer to the edge, i
n hopes that one day he would drive over
and everything that is hurting him would fade away. He accepted Jesus in that
same spot. Jesus met him where he was at in
his life, at the bottom.
When he came to live with me God poured out His grace on Chris, he
did not experience any withdrawals from the drugs or alcohol. He was a perfect
example of 2 Corinthians 5:17 “If anyone
is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” He was
on fire for God; he wanted everyone to
know that if God can forgive and love him, then God can forgive anyone. He was
a testimony of what Christ does when we truly
live our lives for Him, when we live a life of worship.
Christopher was baptized on April 25, 2004, his 30th birthday.
He received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and lived a life of joy and peace.
Chris had so many financial problems that he
was forced to sell the only thing he had left. He tried to sell his truck for
7 days but did not receive one phone call.
The day of his baptism he came up out of the water and heard, “Fast for 3 days”.
He had no idea what this meant so he came to
me two days later and claimed he wasn’t crazy but had heard something. I urged
him to be obedient to the voice of the Holy Spirit
and fast. At the end of his 3-day fast, consisting only of water, he sold his
truck to the hour of starting his fast.
He also found a job within days and had paid off bills, straightened his
tickets out and had hope for the future.
Chris continued to drive up to my parent’s house to minister to
them and my other brothers (The majority of my family members are Mormon, out
of 15 only 5 are saved). He planted many
seeds and God was showing His love through Chris. As Chris tried to minister
to a cousin, whose life was much worse than Chris’,
he started to drink again with this person. I believe that his roots were
just not deep enough to fight the temptation of
alcohol.
On July 29, 2004 my brother and cousin were out drinking on
their way home they were hit by a diesel and Chris was instantly killed.
My cousin walked away with only a few scratches.
I have been standing on the promise that God will work all
things for good for those who love him and I know Chris truly love God.
During this last weekend both my parents and 4 of
my family members came to church on Sunday. This is a miracle in itself.
T
hat morning the Pastor was finishing a series on “
After death, what’s next”, he really hit home the importance of accepting
salvation and what happens if you don’t. This
past Sunday my brother, Stacy, accepted Jesus into his heart. On Monday
the day of the funeral, another brother and his wife
accepted Jesus as well as my cousin Terry recommitting his life to Jesus.
Each of these people were loved ones Chris was trying
to reach with the message of Christ. Each of them received his message
upon his death. He planted seeds with faith and God
was faithful to see them fulfilled.
I share this story with you because of the awesome power our
Savior is showing to those who love Him. I stand on faith that Christopher
is with Jesus and he is receiving a warm and loving
reception from our Lord.
I pray that this story will bless you and please share with
others how they must not give up on loved ones that are lost. The Shepard
wants to draw close all His lost sheep. We are a
ll lost at some point in our life, maybe some more than others but God
wishes none to parish but all to come to repentance.

Hey Bob, this is Philip Wietrick. I got your letter about sending the
original letter. I guess I will start with the reason for this idea.
I have always been a Christian since I was twelve. I got this fuzzy warm
feeling to give my life to Christ, and receive Salvation. However, just as
many Christians do I chose what sins I wanted to give up, and basically lived
a luke-warm lifestyle that did not taste good to Jesus. (Rev 3:15-16) About
eight months ago the harvest of sin produced itself in my life, and I nearly
took my own life as a result. My sister saved my life, and as a result, God
literally touched me and said He created for His purpose not for the devil's
destruction. I have really grown excited about Christian alternative rock
since then. One day I was driving and saying to myself how I wish that I
could listen to group like Audio Adrenaline, Bleach, Skillet, Earthsuit,
Skypark, and DC talk just to name a few on a constant radio format. I live
in Nashville, and the gospel music scene is active, but the format does not
appeal to those of my age group or younger generations. We as a Christian
Community can not preach to our younger generations in the church then send
them into the world to be fed only by the secular music arena, Good
christian rock exist that edifies the message of God, and we need to expose
it not hide. Satan has been real successful in delievering his message to
the multitudes in the secular rock format, why can not we as Christians be
successful in providing to our younger generation the christian rock format
which blows the doors off of the current secular trash on the radio. I have
a successful job, but my life was not created for me get ahead in life. God
created all of us to send out His message to all of His children, and feed
and nurture those who need to hear God. God has rhythm and a beat, lets give
it to the masses. I am willing to serve God's purpose to move His music into
the airwaves. Big cities such as Pheonix, San Jose, and L.A. have these
radio formats why does not Nashville, music city USA? Lets make it happen
for God. I need information purchasing the radio call sign, license from the
FCC, equiptment, and so much more info about making this plan happen. Many
may have doubts about this idea but what is impossible to man, God makes
possible. For any who need encouragement read about how Joshua and Caleab
were sent with the 12 spies, and how they believed with the faith of God they
could take the promise land. God killed the other 10 because of their doubt
and lack of faith in His promise for them. God is always for us when we move
our lives to serve His will. God make conquerors out of slaves, He will

I have been a Realtor for 9 years and a Part time Pastor for 2 1/2
years. In Dec I fell and broke my heel as well as blowing out my

Can you tell me where to look to find info on what it takes(equipment/transmission)
to broadcast a FM radio station? I used to on-air DJ and I really feel called to
start one in my new city.

interested in a Gospel Concert being held in PA featuring the Southern
Gospel Group from Nashville "The Freemans". If you want more information or
if any Christian stations that are close to the Mercersburg Area that would

Hi, Bob, I am actually looking for a radio station's phone number, but there
is another Christian station out of Indianapolis at FM 97.9. I don't have
